The hardy forms of Zantedeschia are derived from the species Z. aethiopica and Z. pentlandii, with the latter being known for its striking bright yellow flowers. To ensure the best growth, plant this perennial in moist soil in semi-shade. In mild winters, it may remain evergreen and put on growth through winter, but a sharp frost will not harm the plant.

Zantedeschia pentlandii can also be grown in containers, but it is important to use a loam-based compost and not plant it too deep. Regular feeding and protection from frost are also necessary for container-grown plants. Keep the compost moist at all times for optimal growth.
